About Jennifer
I love helping people learn. I've spent four years as an elementary teacher working with ESL students and during that time earned my Bachelor's in creative fiction writing. I create an individualized approach to help each child learn the skills they need to succeed and to become self-motivated.
The joy a child gets when they really understand a topic from the first time is amazing to see. Kids who enjoy learning become motivated to continue learning, even without adult guidance. Fostering a real desire to learn is always my goal.
I moved to Ukraine after seeing the need for English teachers in the country. I loved the job immediately and spent my time there teaching students from elementary-aged up, both English language learners and native speakers.
I've been an elementary school teacher for four years, as well as provided individual tutoring during that time. Additionally, I'm able to tutor older students in writing and grammar, as I hold a bachelor's degree in creative writing and have extensive experience writing creative fiction and nonfiction, as well as research and persuasive essays.

I'll do an initial assessment to see where the student's current level is. Generally this is done in an informal format to put the student at ease.
Mainly elementary students from first to fourth grade, but also high schoolers and college students. I've worked with students who speak English as a second language as well as students who struggle with learning in a classroom setting.
