About Lauren
I am a results-driven educator with a passion for literature. I enjoy analyzing, deciphering, and interpreting different types of composition in order to create meaningful discussions that extend beyond the classroom.
I have been a middle school English Language Arts teacher for four years at The Red Bank Charter School. I graduated from Ramapo College with a degree in Literature and a certification in Secondary Education, and Social Studies.
I am a Level 1 Google Educator, and am knowledgable in all things Google. I am also certified in Sheltered English Instruction where I learned how to successfully teach remotely to ensure active student learning and engagement.
I enjoy teaching English because it's special- it gives students a voice. Words are powerful devices: they're tools that influence people, and things that instigate change in the world. I enjoy showing students the power of language by teaching them important works of literature in a wide range of different texts and styles in the hopes that they can successfully learn their own writing styles.

Lauren is fabulous!! A+++! She is patient, understands how to teach someone from the ground up and is always so well prepared for each session.
