About Debbie
I love to see the moment an idea or a problem clicks with a student and they get a look of satisfaction and joy on their face from solving a problem or spelling a word correctly.
I enjoy watching children learn. Whether four or 14, when a child wants to learn and wants to improve, that's half the battle. I am challenged by the smart children who already know and grasp what I'm teaching because those children becomes bored and disinterested. I enjoy finding ways to keep everyone engaged in my lessons.
I have a BA in English, my associate Early Childhood Education certificate, was a substitute teacher for three years for grades pre-K through five and currently teach pre-K full time.

I try to do a quick assessment of what the student knows, what he/she needs to know and how eager they are to get there. I also try and base my lessons around a student's interests so as to keep them engaged.
