About Kathleen
Having had a passion for writing since the second grade, I pursued my love for the English language through to the university level, where I earned a Bachelor's in English from UCLA. Not only am I extremely knowledgeable about various genres and writing styles, but I aim to make learning about English fun and exciting!
Realizing that I have a knack for English writing and reading comprehension, I decided to share my passion for the language with others!
Not only do I have a Bachelor's degree in English, but I have worked with ESL students (ages 3-10) online and in person whose first languages were Mandarin and French.

I like to get to know the student first and have them get to know me so that we can feel comfortable learning with each other - whether through a game or another type of icebreaker!
For my English students, they've primarily been young (under 12), but I've also taught French to adults.
I would say that they ought to consider what qualities and characteristics are important to them. Most tutors are proficiently knowledgeable about their subjects, but it's our personalities and interests that set us apart. I would suggest trying to find someone who shares similar hobbies and values!
I finally got to see the Grand Canyon for the first time in my life this summer! There are no words to describe its incredible, majestic beauty.
