About Hillary
I belive that teaching is a work of heart. To have a child learn, they must first feel comfortable and open to learn. As I have learned from being a middle school teacher for 5 years, you need to have a connection with students. I have a teching certificate with the state of florida. I am certified in English grades 5-9, gifted endorsed, as well as reading endorsed. I currently teach in a Miami-Dade county school as a middle school teacher.
What I enjoy the most about working with students is the ability to see them grow not only in the classroom, but as young adults. The way they express themselves and are able to have opinions on certain matters, is what makes my job so fullfilling. Making these students successful citizens out in the real world.

I always like to start off with asking what the student likes to do for fun, and then I ask what they belive there strengths and weaknesses are. I go from there and begin tutoring my students based on their specific needs, as every child is unique and neds to close to learning gaps at various levels.
