About Edith
My name is Edith. I recently graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor's in Economics and Computer Science and will be returning to complete a Master's in Computer Science. I love working with high school students. I tutor many subjects (with specialties in Economics, Computer Science, Math, and English), offer test preparation tutoring for the SAT and ACT, and guide high school students through the college admissions process.

I love seeing my students make progress towards their goals-- whether that be improving grades in a difficult class, submitting college applications, or gaining confidence in an academic subject. It's great to see students feel good about their own academic ability and achievements after just a few tutoring sessions!
I graduated from Stanford University in June 2022 with a Bachelor's in Economics and a minor in Computer Science. I will be returning in fall of 2023 to complete a Master's of Computer Science at Stanford University.
I have tutored students over the past six years in all subjects as well as test preparation and college essay writing.

My first session with a student is a 90-minute assessment. An hour is spent 1:1 with a student. This time is spent getting to know the student, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, working through a few example problems, and talking through their most recent assignments or tests.
The last half-hour is spent 1:1 with the parent. Here, I aim to understand parents' goals for the student and logistical details about how I can best work with the student in question.

Pranavi worked with Edith to prepare for the SAT test. Edith was incredibly encouraging-- even willing to do extra sessions with Pranavi during the week leading up to the test and sending a text the night of! We were delighted to see Pranavi's score improvement over the six months that we worked with Edith.
I hired Edith to help with my son’s college entrance exams. They worked together from June to December. Edith was great about guiding and encouraging my son through the ideation phase, writing, and editing. She was incredibly organized when it came to submission dates for various colleges as well.
