About Jamie
I am a Registered Nurse with 7 years of experience in tutoring. I have a Honours of Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Life Sciences from University of Toronto as well as a Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Ryerson University. In the past, I have tutored many students including elementary, junior high, and high school students and various classes in many subject areas including math (especially function and relations), sciences (especially biology), English, Grade 11 and 12 accounting, business, etc.
I have been working as a Registered Nurse since 2017 and I am currently a graduate student enrolled in Ryerson University’s Master of Nursing program. I graduated from Ryerson’s undergraduate nursing program with a CGPA of 3.97. In my nursing career, I work as a bedside nurse, a Charge Nurse or Team Lead, as well as a clinical preceptor and educator for nursing students and newly hired nurses. I have enough knowledge and experience in teaching or tutoring nursing related courses.

I deliver teaching based on individual student’s strengths and weaknesses. I design study plans and curriculum according to the student’s previous knowledge level, identified area of improvement and academic goals. I focus on helping students develop appropriate study strategies and habits tailored to each individual’s personalities and needs. I encourage frequent feedback from students and parents regarding their academic progress and what’s working and not working for them.
