About Ben
I have been a music teacher for 5 years, and specialize in students with developmental disabilities. I hold a BA in music and a graduate degree in music therapy.
I enjoy the learning process you go through with each student. Everyone is different and each person learns in a unique way. I enjoy the process for each student, and watching them grow from beginners to proficiency.
I studied music education at WSU.
I hold a BA in music from Westfield State University, and a graduate degree in music therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-woods college. I was a teacher at many public schools in Springfield and Holyoke MA and now teach at Berkshire Hills Music Acadmey.

First we go over any previous experience, followed by setting goals and deadlines to maintain a clear schedule for proficiency on your instrument.
I have worked with students actually from age 0 all the way to 91. No one is too young or too old for me to teach, I have a vast variety of students.
Look for a teacher that has experience teaching a student with your learning style. Make sure they have years of experience teaching the instrument you want to learn, and that you two get along.
