About Hazel
My name is Ms. Foster. I’ve been a public school educator since 2016. Prior to teaching I served as a state department of Mental Health in-home case managers for two counties in the state of Alabama. I am certified in managing crisis safely, inclusion and diversity, early childhood education, and secondary special education.
I specialize in behavior management and intervention. I also minored in English language arts in undergrad school where I attained my bachelors in elementary education. My masters degree is in secondary special education collaborative teaching.
I have a drive to succeed and encourage my students to do the same. My motto is any student can achieve, and my job is to figure out what they need from me in order to be successful. Once those key details are worked out, we are on our way. No child left behind, means I’m with you until we get you where you are going.
I currently serve one of the largest districts in the state of Alabama, and have one of the largest caseloads. I also serve EL students, and consider it an honor to be the SEL leader of my school. With times as uncertain as they currently are, my goal is to ensure that every student under my care is served well and that they reach their goals. Our district's SPE college and career readiness has grown from 12.2 to 74.4 over the course of the 4 years I’ve been there. I am blessed to be a part of such a team and would be proud to serve more students in the capacity of tutoring.
