About Patrick
Hi! My name is Patrick, and I'm offering tutoring services in reading, writing (academic and creative), and history. I am a professional writer with several short stories published and a novel coming out in 2025. I am also the editor of a literary magazine and publish a well-received blog where I write about a presidential biography I have read each week. I have also written literary and film reviews.
I would be ideal for anyone looking for help in any kind of writing. As the editor of a literary magazine, I can help students find their voice creatively or understand the mechanics of what makes an essay work.
I have a BA in English but also experience writing about history. I also have a background in analyzing and interpreting literature, history, and film.
I am a patient and kind teacher who cares deeply for his students and about education in general. I love to see my students' confidence grow as they become more comfortable with the subject. I believe that tutoring serves not only to teach someone the material but also to instill them with a belief in themselves.
I can assist students of any age or experience but have a particular focus on high school and college-aged students. I tailor my approach based on the student and their goals. I can move quickly when required but do not mind taking a slower approach. I welcome input from parents and work with them and the student to meet their goals.
