About Olivia
I'm a certified high school English teacher who has helped hundreds of students increase their score on the SAT! In 2024, the SAT is going digital! Your child needs an experienced tutor who will create a study plan to target the areas your child has not yet mastered.
I received my undergraduate degree in English from Michigan State University's Honors College. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I'll be graduating with my Masters in teaching and curriculum in May 2024! I've been a high school English teacher in Detroit for the past three years. Every day, I work with young people to help them achieve their college and career goals.
Here's what you can expect in the first three SAT tutoring sessions. During Session One, I will get to know your child, their previous scores, and their SAT goals. We will also go over general test-taking strategies for the digital reading and writing exam. At the end of the session, your child will be given a practice test to complete at home. During Session Two, we'll briefly reflect on the practice test. Then, we'll dive into the types of questions asked on the reading exam. During Session Three, I will present your child's SAT study plan based on the practice test they completed after Session One. This will guide our sessions moving forward.
