About Tom
We are a fully equipped 24-hour fitness center, and also specialize in martial arts instruction for both children and adults. I've been teaching martial arts in Paris, IL since May of 1987, nearly 30 years! I'm a 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, Master Instructor through the ATA, and also hold a Purple Belt in Brazilian JiuJitsu.
It's very rewarding helping people get into shape, gain confidence, and learn how to defend themselves and others. We've trained hundreds of kids and adults over the years, and I love it when former students then bring their kids in!
I started martial arts back in 1983, to gain confidence. As a sickly asthmatic, I had a lot of catching up to do. Early on, I knew I wanted to be an instructor. It made such a difference in me, I just knew it would help others too.
M.A. in Exercise Phsiology and Sport Biomechanics
6th Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor in the American Taekwondo Association; Purple Belt in Brazilian JiuJitsu.
