About David
My name is David Gentile. I am a licensed self-defense instructor and have been since 2018. I enjoy customizing workouts and lessons to help my clients feel empowered in achieving the desired goals they wish to achieve.
I enjoy carefully planning my own work outs so not one minute is wasted and the clients that have trained with me from the past, regular after work people and even competitive combat sports athletes have enjoyed my carefully thought out workouts and lessons.
I had been a dedicated student at my dojo for many years, and I was asked to assist another instructor for a corporate demo. I performed very well in the demonstration, and they immediately put me into the aspiring trainer's program. Since then, I have attained two different instructor certifications. I have had experience assisting with children's muay thai, and I have also assisted with adult muay thai instruction, and regularly teach Krav Maga.
I have been training in various martial arts Krav Maga (since 2013 current rank blue belt) Muay Thai (since 2014) Boxing (since 2014), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (since 2017 current rank blue belt). I recently competed in my first amateur bout, and I have been a licensed self-defense trainer since 2018.

I assess the student's personal goals and training desires and current fitness level. I show them the basics how to stand, how to strike, how to move, and once they have mastered the basics we tailor the rest of the lessons based on what the client wants.
I mostly teach adults, but I have some experience teaching children. Most of the people I train have very little or no experience in Martial Arts or self-defense, however, I regularly train and spar with experienced martial artists.
Strongly consider your personal goals before entering any kind of coach and student relationship. Also, consider how the instructor will meet you where you are to help you achieve those goals.
I had my first amateur fight on May 30th, and I believe I performed very well.
