About Jeremy
Please email me at . I work via Zoom. I have 20+ years expereince in tutoring. I have worked with Dallas College and now going to more private tutoring. I try to enstill confidence in my students as I have found that many students have "math anxiety" while others just need that edge in their studies!! I enjoy showing multiple ways of solving problems if it's possible and have the student decide which method they perfer!! EMail me for more info!!

I had originally transferred to Texas A&M to get a degree in meteorology, but although I did complete one semester there, I had health issues get in the way. As I was taking care of my health, I needed something to do, so I found a job tutoring at Eastfield--and have been tutoring since!!! I just fell in love with teaching. Since I am a dialysis patient, teaching in the classroom was just not feasible. I wanted to expand my private tutoring, so here I am.
I have an Associate's Degree in Science from Eastfield College (now Dallas College).

I like to have either an initial meeting online which lasts maybe 15 minutes to introduce myself and allow you (and or the student) to introduce themselves. This gives us both the opportunity to see where you are at and what sort of help you are in need of. I usually tell my students that I want them to do as much homework as possible, and then the problems you get tripped up on, you bring to me. I can also help with any notes or extra explanation you need with lessons. I usually use Zoom for online tutoring.
I have worked with students as young as 8 and as old as 72. The atmosphere at Eastfield allowed me to see students of all different backgrounds and ages. I have also tutored students with disabilities as well.
Don't ever be afraid of math!! I have seen so many students come to me and they have "math anxiety". It's okay to be a bit timid, but have an open mind and don't ever let math intimidate you. Anyone can do math!!
This is not recent, but a fellow tutor of mine at Eastfield and I helped 3 blind students get through all three levels of Developmental Math and College Algebra and they graduated together with our help! It was a great success!!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Most students just want to know what the answers are, but a really good student wants to know "how" and "why" the answer is what it is--not just the "what".
