About Dr
Holds BA, MA, and PhD from Harvard University; MPhil from University of Cambridge. Pre-College Diploma in Violin from Juilliard. Decades of experience with SAT, ACT, APs, PSAT, GRE, SSAT/ISEE, TACHS, math at all levels, writing, and college applications. Her students have received perfect scores in Math on SAT/ACT/PSAT and/or in English, Reading, or Science on SAT/ACT. Dr. Furuya has had enormous success motivating students to make great leaps. Her students have become National Merit Semi-Finalist/Commended Scholars, and have earned 5's on AP exams. Students whom she helped with college applications have been accepted into top schools. //
Dr. Furuya and her two sisters hold degrees from The Juilliard School - in violin, piano, and cello. They offer violin, piano, cello, and music theory online lessons to students of all ages/levels. They have decades of experience teaching instruments online, having done so years before covid-19. Students have great time showcasing their progress in online concerts/masterclasses.
