About Adam
I've worked in higher education for 14 years as a graduate student and professor. I love to help students excel and reach their full potential. I have a PhD in Mathematics from Ohio State University and can help students in anything from a basic algebra course to advanced undergraduate curriculum. I've also helped many people study for graduate school math exams.
Seeing the look on a students face when a key concept becomes clear is on of the most rewarding aspects of this work.
I've always had a love for mathematics and teaching. When in college I really became interested in theoretical math and studied that in graduate school. I currently work at a small university where the focus is teaching and working with students.
I have a PhD and Masters in Mathematics from Ohio State University and did my undergraduate work in Mathematics at Michigan State University.

I like to talk to students to learn about their past experiences with tutoring and in the classroom. We can then determine what direction the tutoring takes. Do we need to talk about underlying concepts, go back and review skills that were not mastered or run through a lot of examples. I will not sit and do your homework for you, but will provide many examples to ensure you can complete it yourself.
I have mostly tutored college students and students preparing for the math portion of the GRE and other standardized testing. I have also worked with a few high school calculus students.

Details
I usually charge around $60/hr for online tutoring for Calculus, Differential Equations and below. For standarized test tutoring or more advanced classes, we can discuss the rate. I also give discounts for regular customers.
