About Sofia
Hello!
I have been tutoring since I was in 7th grade (6 years ago), and I have primarily helped students with math. However, I have been in a lot of accelerated courses throughout high school that would make me comfortable tutoring in many other subjects.
As an 18-year-old, I believe I have the advantage of relating to young students more and being able to explain their material in terms that they can better understand.

My favorite part about tutoring is meeting the students, and being able to adjust to different learning styles.

When working with a new student, I start by getting to know them better, as well as gauge their understanding of the subject. I also ask to know what learning styles work for them.
I have worked with students of all ages — my youngest student was 7 years old, and my oldest was 16 years old. I have mostly tutored in math, but have also been a language tutor. However, I am open to tutoring in many subjects!
