About Jacob
I try to make math applicable to the real world around student. I think this helps them visualize and better understand the concepts.
I find it incredibly rewarding to see the students start to grasp and eventually run with a topic.
I have a BS in Electrical Engineering, with a math minor.
I have been tutoring since 204 with after school programs in college, and online.

I try to watch a student solve some problems, to see where is their sticking point on a problem With that information, it is easier to know where to start. I do not like making assumptions that a student may know a concept. Math builds on itself, and thats often why kids struggle, they missed a topic early on.
I have worked with students from age 7 to age 22. I have completed math through advanced calculus and statistics, so I am able to help most students.
Find a teacher that will teach to your learning style. If you just need a lot of practice, find a person like that, if you need a lot of eplination, find somebody like that. There are plenty of tutors who all have different styles.
