About Wesley
I graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in Economics and Honors Chemistry in the Spring of 2016. I was a member of the Men's Rowing Team and Team President my senior year. I've raced both for Michigan and the United States while at the same time I loved my academics. I trained for four years in Vermont after graduating to race for the US. I am starting medical school at Columbia in August.
I graduated high school with a 4.22 weighted GPA and scoring a 34 on the ACT. I graduated with Honors from college with a 3.6 GPA and scoring in the 96th percentile on the new MCAT. I was a member of the Honors Society in High School and in the Honors College at U of M.
I have an extremely flexible schedule and can easily accommodate last minute lessons as well as limited student schedules.
I have been tutoring off and on starting in high school and throughout college. My goal whenever I tutor someone is to show them how fun and interesting science and math can be, and give them a love for the subjects that challenged and rewarded me.

Wes prepared diligently for his tutoring sessions, and would go the extra mile to work with kids through challenging assignments or problems whether in-person or virtually. He is clearly so excited about the subjects he teaches that his students were disarmed. If a student came to him for math help but hated math, for instance, Wes’s enthusiasm sparked a curiosity that would spur the student to work hard enough to discover what was so cool about math, anyway. This is the most effective kind of teacher—one that inspires.
