About Samantha
Being neurodivergent myself, I understand the many challenges faced by neurodivergent students and teach strategies that makes information stick, and deepens the understanding of concepts.
I've worked with students of all abilities since 2018 and tailor my sessions to the students' goals and struggles. I explain math in a way that make sense for my students and am constantly asking them questions to promote independent thinking and problem solving.
While each session is unique to students' needs, I typically help with homework, use additional practice problems, and re-explain basic and advanced concepts to build a robust understanding of math with the flexibility that is rarely taught in the classroom.
I enjoy building relationships with my students and boosting their confidence in their mathematic abilities
In high school, I was a year ahead in math and received a 5 on my AP calculus exam. I have been tutoring math professionally since 2018 and have always helped friends with difficult concepts.
Furthermore, I have a similar professional track with tutoring biology, but have also earned a BS in Biology and held several bio-related jobs over the years

I like to understand the class schedule for tests and quizzes as well as what topics the student previously and currently struggles with.
Depending on the needs of my students, we work on assigned homework and/or review concepts that were covered in class.
