About Julia
I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics and I have been tutoring for 17 years! I make sure students have a strong foundation and are confident about their basic math skills, and assess and review (if needed) many topics until we reach the most current math they have studied. We can also get a head start on upcoming math to give them a head start, so they can see what it's like to be confident in math class! I also *love* to give students a sense of how many different types of math people study in college, and all the different ways math can be helpful in life! There are soooo many examples that I can even tailor the examples to the student's interests.
I love to see the transformation from someone struggling with math or lacking confidence or interest in math to the point where they are excited, confident, and successful! I love to hear about my students excelling in math for years and years after I helped make sure their foundation was strong.
