About Kyle
I am excited to meet the needs of students at any level of mathematics! Able to Tutor: Calculus, preCalculus, Geometry, Algebra 2, Algebra 1, basic arithmetic.
Experience (3 years):
I hold a Mathematics degree from the University of Denver and have succeeded in classes such as Real Analysis, Abstract Algebra, and Advanced Linear Algebra. I have been employed as the head math teacher at Accelerated Schools, a private school in Colorado. I prided myself on my positive student interactions, carried out with a patient, thoughtful, and friendly demeanor. At the school, I planned and taught lessons for Arithmetic, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre Calculus to an average class size of eight. Currently, I'm a tutor for Owly tutors, a tutoring company that offers one-on-one private tutoring. I've helped students of all ages succeed and would be happy to provide references for past clients.
Approach:
I work with students on both soft and hard skills. Are there conceptual gaps in understanding? Is the student in need of more robust study habits? Does the student need strategies for coping with test anxiety? I tailor make a plan for success to build the skills necessary for success.
