About Andrea
I graduated from Winona State University in 2013 with a double major in Mathematics and Secondary Mathematics Education. I have been a high school math teacher for the last 7 years. I have taught Intermediate Algebra, Geometry, and Advanced Algebra courses. I also have my Masters in Teaching and Learning.
I enjoy working with High School students and helping them grow in their math skills. Math was not my favorite course in High school and definitely not my easiest so I can relate to students who “don’t get it right away”. Though conversations we have, questions we ask each other, and teaching a subject I have grown to love, the moments when students feel excited and proud of their accomplishments make me just as excited and accomplished! I want your student to be as successful as you do!
I have an undergraduate degree in Secondary Math Education. I also earned my Masters in Teaching and Learning.

I like to get to know the student by meeting them and asking questions (whether it’s over a video call or in person). I also create a pre-test for students so I know exactly where their current strengths and weaknesses lie which helps me know where they need the most help.
