About Synthia
As an experienced and enthusiastic professional with more than 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring students of all grades from Elementary School through College, I strongly believe that every child can learn given the appropriate learning tool, relevant teaching strategies and the right support.
I am a certified teacher and have earned my Master of Arts in Teaching in Mathematics and Biology and my Bachelors in Biochemistry and Literature. I have been tutoring any levels of math from Algebra to Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Literature, Writing and Test Prep (SAT and ACT) for the past 10 years.
I believe that getting to know students on a personal level is essential to providing them with the tools to succeed in their academic pursuits. Many clients have used my tutoring services year after year, and I’ve often gone on to work with siblings and friends. The vast majority of Successful Scholars’ clients come to us from word-of-mouth and referrals. It has been tremendously rewarding to help students excel from year to year and then share the excitement of their acceptances into the nation’s top universities
