About Vera
I have been tutoring kids for 5 years now, mainly in math because that's something they often struggle with. I love working with students and helping them see visible and internal progress. I've always excelled at math, and took multivariable calculus once in high school and again in college. I have a strong foundation in grade school math and have the resources to make sure that even if they don't have homework over the summer, we can gauge where they are and how they can improve.
I am a rising senior premed neuroscience major at my university. I have been tutoring others since I was in high school and have experience with kids with learning disabilities as well. I can guarantee to not only help your student with their coursework but also attention issues in class and generally learning how to study. Oftentimes, the barrier to understanding lies in those two areas and once those are overcome, it's much easier to learn.

However oftentimes students don't know what they don't know- which means I step in and give diagnostics for basic concepts and skills. I also like to figure out what kind of learner they are so I can change the material to the way they best learn.
