About Tyler
I started my career in tutoring at Dutchess Community College, where I was a peer tutor for my fellow mathematics students. I helped out at a variety of math levels: from basic arithmetic to calculus II.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut, two years of tutoring experience, and experience as a teaching assistant at a local community college.

First I'll work with my student to determine what they need help with. After this, we'll have a session typically lasting around an hour, which will be mostly focused on that material. We'll do our session over Google Meet and using an online whiteboard called Explain Everything. After our session I'll invoice the student for the cost of the session and send them an access code for the whiteboard, so that they can see what we spent our time going over if they'd like to review it.
I've worked primarily with college students, though these students have always been at a wild variety of levels. The courses I helped with ranged from basic arithmetic all the way up to calculus II.
Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions! People like me are tutors because we love helping people, and this is especially true for those in the mathematics and science fields. We're all very passionate, and love sharing knowledge.
I've had some great experiences rock climbing with friends recently. It's a huge passion of mine: I love getting outside and enjoying the weather while bouldering with the people I love.

Details
The first session with any new student will cost $20, after which I have a sliding scale pricing system. This means that the student will only need to pay what they can afford for sessions after our first.
