About Kirstyn
I love to help others learn and experience the joy that comes with understanding the world around us. I am a Biomedical science major with a minor in History! I have been tutoring anyone that has asked for help since I was in middle school and I enjoy getting to connect with new people. I have received multiple academic scholarships and awards as well as been involved in my community through volunteer work.
I have incorporated real-world applications into my teaching style. I have integrated an individualized approach to tutoring as I work hard to make learning fun as we work on your educational goals together.
I got started teaching by helping teach my younger cousins and fellow classmates and was developing a passion for helping others gain knowledge ever since I started to do private lessons in Middle School.

I start off by talking to the student about their long-term and shorter goals for the subject that we are going to cover. I will demonstrate concepts as we work through example problems together before I help with specific homework or schoolwork questions in order to help build a strong foundational understanding of a topic.
I have worked with all age groups, genders, and levels of students including special needs and gifted children.
I would say to be open to what the tutor has to teach you and feel free to ask questions.

Details
I do not have a pricing system as I am open to negotiations and I believe that people should be able to get the help they need within a reasonable price range that works for them. Any money that I do earn will be going to continuing my own education and will help me to better tutor future students in a wider range of subjects.
