About Zoe
I am overly enthusatic about STEM fields. A good Science or Mathematics teacher can determine the students attitute and enjoyment concerning different fields, and affect the student's performance for years to come. Having watched too many young individuals being deterred from interesting careers from apathatic and arrogent instructors generated a personal goal to always support and engage my students. I have earned a Chemical Engineering BS Degree, worked for a Engineerging Company for 3 years, and am now pursuing a Chemical Engineering Masters Degree. My advanced degrees and work experiance should support my proficency in Mathematics and the Physical Sciences. Beyond conveying help with any acedemic pursuits, I will also try to facilitate the same enthusaisum I have for science and technology. STEM futures will change and save the world!
Finally, I appropriatly charge according to the level of course difficultly. I have a very flexible schedual and will meet at times most convienent for the students and family.
As I mentioned prevously, I take pride in being able to change students perception towards difficult courses. My ultimate goal beyond having an individual learn a material, is that they begin to enjoy cultivating and practising the knowledge. I enjoy teaching students tools to tackle challenges on their own to the level which they begin to feel confident in their own technical skills and prowess.
In particular, I favor teaching Chemistry, which in my oppinion often can be the pivital point in determining the course or field individuals pursue. Chemistry is the basis for life, materials, and reactions that exist in our every day environment. If I can get someone engaged in learning Chemistry, then I have managed to get an individual more tuned with their environment and world around them.
I have a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering BS degree and am currently pursuing a Chemical Engineering Masters degree. I worked for an Engineering company for 3 years where I had to apply my acedemic knowledge and mentor new employees. Furthermore, worked as an academic tutor throughout High School and Undergraduate studies. I have tutored in both hundreds of students in the physical sciences and mathematics such that they both suceed in their courses and enjoy what they are learning.

First I begin by establishing how the student feels he or she learns best, and what they feel are their strengths and weakness. This information is stored into a file to referr back to at a later date after progress has been made. Next, the student and I would go over what his or her goals are for the sessions and what material has to be covered to create an agenda for the current and further lessons. At this point I would create a shared platform over google or microsoft teams, and setup a digital whiteboard. This shared platform could be used to store the day's notes and for additional communication.
At this point we would have all of the organizational tools in place for sucessfull sessions and prolonged learning. After each session, I typically review what we have learned and what the next steps would be. Depending on the students age, I would followup with an email to either to student or parents to review what was covered and what needs to looked into for the next session in order to pick up where we left off.
The next session would start with a small review of what was learned/covered previously. A new agenda would be set and the session would move forward to keep pase with his or her coursework.
Every student learns differently, and therefore each student and session is tailored to best assist. There are plenty of tools that can be used to make the sessions the most productive they can be.
