About Andrew
My business is run by myself exclusively and was created for my drive to help others enjoy learning and understanding even the most daunting of subjects. I am currently a fourth BS Computer Engineering major at San Jose State University and only teach classes that I have received a college course A or the equivalent of such in. In times of quarantine, I feel it is essential to maximize human interaction in order to receive a rounded education, even if that interaction is virtual.
I helping people see how fun and satisfying math can be once viewed in the proper way.
I have recently started tutoring as a way to interact with others and help them during the quarantine.
Often I will look to help students through my school's app allowing any students to post and ask for help in specific classes.

When working with a new student it is crucial to establish a baseline of understanding. If my student is confused about a concept from prior curriculum then any further progress attempted to be made is a moot point. I love working with students who genuinely want to learn. If we can see progress as a collaborative effort the sky is our limit!
Mostly college students from various majors at my school.
Look for a teacher that keeps you engaged. No one is "not a math person". Some people get things quicker, but anyone can get it eventually. Too many people are told too early that they aren't capable.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Understand what you are asking. Going in blindly and hoping for some magic solution to all your confusion puts your teacher into a corner and will probably just make you more confused and frustrated.

Details
My rates vary depending on circumstance and whether it's in person or virtual. Usually around $35-40/hr, but if one purchases many sessions at once I am willing to go lower depending on what subject and how many sessions. I usually don't do less than two to three 1 hour sessions with one student as I don't feel that is effective in the learning process.
