About Timothy
I know what it’s like to be a struggling student who doesn’t understand the work that the teachers are giving. Freshman year I was struggling with school and I was able to overcome that struggle through my ex tutor who helped me understand the work and helped me find the motivation to do my work. Sophomore through Senior year I was able to get A’s because I figured out a method to help me understand the work and now that’s what I want to do for someone else. I will help students achieve their goals by giving them a deeper understanding of what the teacher is telling them and helping them find a method to help them with their school work. I have been tutoring for 2 years now and it’s been an amazing experience. There were hard and tough times but me and my students were able to overcome them and I am happy to say that I have been able to help many students understand their school work.
I enjoy being able to work with different types of students and help them achieve their academic goals.

Typically my process for working with a new student is first I start with getting to know them and telling them a few things about myself to make things less awkward. After we get to know each I then try to find out what the student is struggling with. After finding out what the student is struggling with I try to help the student find a method that will help with the struggles they’re having.
I have worked with elementary, middle school, and high school students before.

He was a good a tutor overall he helped my son Jacob go from a 68 in his math class to a 89. Another thing I liked is that he was able to get Jacob to open up to him(Jacob is very shy).
I liked how patient he was with me. He never got anger or upset with me no matter how many times I got the question. He had no problem explaining something to me again. The method he used was amazing.
