About Janet

I have always loved teaching.

After  being a school teacher and then a professional athlete I switch to teaching tennis because I wanted to start playing again. I also wanted to be more physical than being in a classrooom setting.

I have taken beginner to high performance tennis education training from Tennis Canada

I have taken courses through PTR, UW Nordstrom Tennis Center, Worked privately with an Australian coach on the Australia style of coaching and a French coach the French  style of coaching

I am a qualified elementary and jr high school teacher. I taughter grade 7-9 for 3 years before I became a professional athlete iin Big Air Snowboardiing

I have been a World Champion/X Games Champion and International competitor in Big Air Snowboarding.

I was an a full tennis scholarshoip for 4 years in California Division 3 college

I have three kids, 17, 19 and  21 years of age.  Lots of experience  with children and adults.

I have worked with beginners to high performance players ranked as high as 6 in the world on the senior men's tour.

I ask for your goals and then we focus on what you want out of the lesson

I have worked with people who have never played tennis before, people who want to get good enough to play college tennis, people who play high school tennis, kids who are over 5 and the parents want to get them developing their hand eye coordination and racquet skills.  I have worked with people ranked top three in the USA in the senior divisions and top 6 in the world in the mens division.

Make sure you are having fun and learning. If you don't feel you are improving and learning each lesson find a new teacher.

I love Indian Wells. What I like most about it is walking around during practices and watchiing the players train.

I love Monto Carlo as well. Beautiful setting and great atmosphere of people cheering for greatt tennis.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what you really want out of your lessons. Your true goals. They may change as well which is fine.
