About Jenna
Hi! I’m Jenna I have a B.S. in Biology and I’m currently pursuing my Chemical Engineering degree at UMBC. I’ve spent the past two years tutoring K–12 students in Chemistry, Biology, and Math. Chemistry is one of my strongest subjects, and teaching is something I genuinely care about — helping students understand why something works is my favorite part of the learning process. I’m patient, positive, and adaptable, and I tailor my teaching style to each student’s needs. Whether your student is working to build confidence, catch up, or get ahead, I’m here to help learning feel clear, manageable, and encouraging.

Each tutoring session follows a clear and structured learning cycle. I begin by observing how the student approaches the material independently to identify their strengths and areas that need support. At the start of every session, we complete a brief review or check-in based on the previous lesson to reinforce retention. The main portion of our time focuses on building a deep understanding of the current topic through step-by-step explanation and guided practice. We end each session with a concise summary of key concepts and an outline of what will be reinforced next time.
This consistent approach helps students retain information, build confidence, and make steady, meaningful progress. Each new session will begin with a test of the previous topic to reinforce the information even further one on one
