About Neil
I teach art as a hands-on, creative adventure where drawing, painting, and design come alive across traditional and digital media. My approach is fundamentals first but never boring; we build strong skills in observation, shading, color, composition, and design while actively creating, experimenting, and refining. How I teach: Think clear structure + creative freedom. I break down complex techniques into simple, repeatable steps using live demos, visual examples, and guided practice. You’ll learn how skills transfer seamlessly from pencil and paint to tablet and screen so nothing you learn goes to waste. What a lesson looks like: Each session is dynamic and focused: A quick warm-up to loosen up your hand and eye A bite-sized concept explained with real examples Live demonstration and hands-on creation Supportive feedback and a mini challenge to level up between sessions What makes me different: I specialize in bridging fine art and digital creation. I’ll show you how to turn sketches, paintings, and even sculptures into polished digital assets while keeping their texture, depth, and personality intact. I offer structured lessons in drawing, painting, and design, taught across traditional and digital media. Students learn core visual fundamentals observation, line, form, color theory, composition, and design principles that apply to both hand-drawn and digital work, we would also explore the relationship between hardcopy and softcopy with the goal of bringing our drawings into editable designs on our laptop or digital devices.
Lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate learners and are tailored to individual goals, whether you want to learn to draw from scratch, improve painting skills, or transition from traditional art to digital design.
My teaching approach is process-driven and practical, focusing on building strong foundations, creative confidence, and transferable skills that work across pencils, paint, tablets, and design software. Each session is structured, supportive, and results-oriented.
