About Marialena
I graduated with distinction from the University of Toronto, where I completed my undergraduate degree (honours). I majored in English literature and Environmental Ethics, with a minor in Philosophy. This was followed by my masters degree at York University (a two-year program including thesis). I have been awarded multiple scholarships at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. As well, I completed my TESL certification at CCLSC in Toronto.
During my post-secondary education I honed my advanced writing and editorial skills. Besides writing essays and a full-length thesis, I have worked professionally on grant proposals for professors and non-profit organizations.
I have several years tutoring and teaching experience in a variety of settings. I am passionate about reading and writing, and I strive to share that enthusiasm with my students. I love to continue learning from and with my students.
