About Caitlin
I am a dedicated computer programming tutor with over 6 years of teaching experience helping GCSE, A-Level, and university students achieve academic success and develop practical coding skills. My background includes teaching programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, and SQL, alongside computer science topics including algorithms, databases, object-oriented programming, and software development principles.
I enjoy making complex technical concepts easier to understand by using structured explanations, interactive coding exercises, and real-world examples. My lessons are designed to suit each student’s learning style, ensuring they build confidence while improving analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

My programming lessons are designed to help students develop confidence, logical thinking, and practical coding ability at GCSE, A-Level, and university level. Each session is tailored to the learner’s academic goals, whether they need help understanding programming fundamentals, preparing for examinations, or building advanced software development skills.
I teach a range of topics including Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, object-oriented programming, algorithms, databases, web development, and problem-solving techniques. Lessons combine theory with hands-on exercises so students can immediately apply what they learn through coding challenges and real-world projects.
I create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can ask questions freely and progress at their own pace. Complex concepts are broken into simple explanations, making difficult topics easier to understand. I also provide guidance with coursework, debugging, revision strategies, and university assignments.
My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students think like programmers by developing analytical skills, creativity, and independent learning habits.
