It's easy to learn and assimilate when your tutor's lesson is presented in simple, applicable steps that can instantly be practiced. Such is the methodology I have mastered over the years. I also align my checklist of course area to that of your examination body.
My goal is not just to teach you the content but to equip you with strategies that make learning easier and success inevitable.

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I developed interest in Chemistry in 2006 after my A-levels and I developed interest in online tutoring in 2020 during the pandemic era, I had to put a foot forward to help many learners.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach Chemistry, Physics and Math and respectively, I like atomic structure, quantum physics and geometry a lot.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

My role model is Prof. Mike of University of Greenwich. His ideas are always relatable.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor should first be empathetic, patient and up to date which helps dynamism. He/she should be able to seamlessly adjust to varying learning needs.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

One interesting thing that happened in my uni days was me trying to prove that atoms do not always combine in simple whole ratios in chemistry. Prof. Mike believed in my ideas at first but in the end, it was a whole mess. Haha
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

One lingering challenge in chemistry for learners is representation of facts using chemical equations. In some levels, learners are not well taught, and it becomes an inherited problem for subsequent tutors.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My passion is teaching, doing experimental work, analysing salts and passing this knowledge to learners. This is all I live for.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions :-P) ?

I am a Superprof because I have a workable plan to help my learners improve within the shortest possible time. And guess what? The plan always works or ask my learners!
