About Darlene
I’m a professional film, television, and stage actress with more than 25 years of experience and a lifetime member of The Actors Studio. My television and film credits include Power, Star Trek, How I Met Your Mother, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds, All My Children, and Girl You Know It’s True, among others.
I bring students the perspective of someone who has spent decades auditioning, working on professional sets, and building a career as an actor. My coaching is supportive, honest, and practical. I help actors make specific, truthful choices, strengthen their confidence on camera, and stop trying to “perform” the role.
I also work with students preparing for college theatre auditions and understand how important it is to choose material that showcases who you are rather than simply trying to impress the room.

My coaching is tailored to you—your experience level, your goals, and the specific material you’re working on. I work one-on-one with actors on self-tapes, on-camera auditions, scene study, script and character analysis, monologues, and college theatre auditions.
We’ll work on making strong, specific choices while keeping your performance truthful, grounded, and connected. I help actors get out of their heads, trust their instincts, and bring more of themselves to the role rather than trying to guess what casting wants.
For self-tapes and auditions, we can work directly on the material you need to prepare. For college auditions, I help students select and develop material that showcases their individuality and strengths.
Whether you’re just beginning or already working professionally, my goal is for you to leave each session with greater confidence, stronger choices, and practical tools you can use in your next audition.
