About Afsha
I’m a final-year Psychology student with a strong interest in education. Throughout my degree, I have developed in academic writing, essay structure, research, critical thinking and presenting ideas clearly.
I want to tutor because I enjoy helping others, specially young people, progress. I have prior experience from doing volunteer work in a primary school, helping young student with reading/writing/spelling! I’ve also aided several of my younger family members with exam prep for classes such as English, modern studies, history etc!

I tend to make my lessons personalised to each student, so that they can feel comfortable asking me various questions, making errors and working at their own pace.
I support students with English, reading comprehension, writing, and grammar. My key areas are essay planning, structure guidance and proofreading.
I passed my National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher English at an A! I also took various psychology classes related to children reading and writing development!
For younger students, I provide homework help and can help with strengthening literacy skills. For older students, I support with academic writing, developing arguments, referencing and improving overall structure.
I focus on helping students understand how to approach work and develop skills that they can use throughout all education.
