About Violet
I am a dedicated and passionate tutor with a strong academic background in Fine Art and Art History. Having studied at the University of the Arts London, where the course placed a strong emphasis on art history and critical theory, I developed both creative practice and analytical skills that allow me to teach the subject with depth and enthusiasm. I am a passionate and dedicated enthusiast of Art and Art History, with a particular strength in combining creative practice with critical study. My degree in Fine Art at the University of the Arts London allowed me to engage deeply with Art History, as the course had a strong academic and research-based focus on historical and contemporary contexts. This gave me a solid foundation in analysing artworks, understanding cultural movements, and developing strong written and critical thinking skills. My approach to teaching is both creative and academic. I aim to make Art History engaging by connecting visual analysis with storytelling, historical context, and critical debate. I believe students learn best when they can see how art reflects wider themes such as politics, culture, and human experience. Whether we are discussing the Renaissance, Romanticism, or Modernism, I use clear explanations and visual resources to help students feel confident in approaching complex ideas. With my academic background, tutoring experience, and passion for both history and the arts, I am committed to helping students succeed in their studies.
