About Tess
Hi, I'm Tess! I'm a First-Class Biomedical Science graduate from the University of Birmingham and I'm currently studying for a Master's in Public Health at Imperial College London. I also recently completed a cancer research internship at Harvard Medical School, giving me first-hand experience of how science taught in the classroom is applied in cutting-edge research. Throughout my academic journey, I've developed a genuine interest in biology and chemistry, achieving A* grades in both subjects. I love teaching because I know that the right support can make even the most challenging topics feel manageable. My aim is to create a friendly, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, build confidence in their abilities, and reach their full potential!

I offer personalised GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry lessons tailored to each student's learning style, goals, and areas of improvement. My teaching focuses on simplifying complex concepts and improving exam technique using active recall, practice questions and clear explanations. Lessons typically last one hour.
I achieved A* grades in both Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A-Level, graduated with a First-Class degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Birmingham. I have experience tutoring students, leading revision sessions during my degree.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, whether they need extra support or are aiming for the highest grades.
