I am friendly, patient and creative in my approach to teaching and look forward to helping students achieve their best. Although I am new to the professional tutoring world, I am excited to get started and successfully help students to fulfil their potential and improve their confidence.
My teaching methodology is to make it simple and fun, as microbiology is a vast subject. As an example for younger students I usually have stuffed microorganisms to teach about shape, and have a visual support this is something that I like to use for all my students either with videos schemes and animations. I'm a very friendly and patient tutor as well as very organized.
My goal in tutoring is to engage my students, and give them confidence in the content they are trying to learn! I am a patient teacher and am happy to spend sessions going over things multiple times to make sure they are fully consolidated- no matter how small.
I can best support pupils studying at KS3, KS4 (GCSE and BTEC) and KS5 ( A level) I am a friendly tutor who is approachable and I make challenging topics easier to understand. I utilise past paper questions to support exam technique, and work through problem areas with each pupil.
I have a personal approach to teaching and take into account the different learning styles and the individuality of each pupil. I will ensure I know what you/your child aims to get out of the session so I can make my lesson plans tailored to your requirements.
My teaching method will be based on -Lecturing -Demonstrating -Collaborating -Classroom discussion -Debriefing -Classroom Action Research Whereas, Today’s students have a quick changing future to demand individual skills, compatibility, right questions, and the ability to manage programs and people.
I will prefer teaching by providing easy notes and making charts and diagrams for easy understanding. Will take tests and quizes..
I am currently an A-level student predicted 4 A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Welsh Baccalaureate. I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE and AAAA at AS level. My teaching methods will be specific to you. I aim to determine the most effective learning style for you, and provide personalised explanations and support in order for you to achieve your goal.
I will be mirroring some of my favourite school teachers methods, reading though the syllabus and planning sessions around explaining theories. At the end of each topic a poster and glossary will have been completed; I've found this useful for revision purposes later on.
My teaching method is unique to each learner depending on if they prefer visual, kinesthetic or audio tools. My methods have been tried and tested by myself and my students who have provided me with consistent positive feedback.
My teaching method would be student- centric , targets would be set per class depending on how far the student perceives the topic
GCSE tutoring. I will base my teaching from questions, and I can help with the understanding of topics where necessary.
Science is a great topic to study and I aim to consolidate my students understanding starting with the simplest theories. Finding their weaknesses, gaps in knowledge and the most important part, targeting their passions.
I am a very organised, methodological individual and take this approach when tutoring. I like to plan my lessons with the student, assessing the specific issues they have and the goals they would like to achieve. For GCSE students, I would be happy to discuss exam techniques regarding the content and syllabus, STEM content and even essay writing methods which can be applied to various subjects.
I have been working as a private tutor in the last 2 years. In those years I gave lessons to more than 25 students (individually) and prepare most of them for national exams that led them to enter university. Also prepared some university students for their final exams.
Hi I am Isobel, I'm a medical student at Cardiff university. I can provide support for school work to help you achieve the grade you need. I can break subjects down into manageable chunks and suggest different resources that may help your understanding.
I am looking to tutor students studying for their GCSE's and A level's in Biology. I will base my tutoring around biological topics that my students find difficult and are currently struggling with; in this way each session will be tailored to individual students' needs and thus will be the most beneficial to them.
I'm a qualified Research Scientist with over 7 years tutoring and mentoring experience. I can tutor Biology, biomedicine or allied subjects from Secondary school up, however A-level or higher education may gain more from the sessions (have the knowledge to explain complex ideas in great detail).
I have been teaching science to secondary school pupils as I am a STEM ambassador, however I find teaching students one to one much more effective. I am currently in my 3rd year (placement year) of studying for my Bachelor's genetics degree, which I am spending working as a full time researcher and lab assistant in Cardiff University's Cancer and Genetics lab.
I'm a second year medical student, who, having recently completed their A-Levels, has a comprehensive understanding of the current syllabuses used at A-Level and GCSE. As a student myself, I understand that learning is most effective when lessons are open, clear and involve the student, and this is used in my lessons.
Offering help for GCSE and A-level biology - I prefer to help a student through problem sets using diagrams and if it is about human biology - using real life case examples from my medical training. I am very patient and can communicate well. Biology is a fascinating subject which I enjoy teaching and learning more about.
I am a second-year medical student at Cardiff University and help GCSE and A Level students studying Chemistry and Biology. Having attained 3 A stars at A Level, both in Chemistry and Biology I hope I am able to get across to students what really helped me when facing my A Levels.
My name is Constance and I am from France. I just graduated from the University of Nantes with a mention in Cellular Biology and Animal Physiology. I play and I coach basketball. I spent 5 months in Cardiff (September 2016 --> January 2017). I can teach French to level. I can teach Biology to any level under the bachelor degree.
My teaching method is suited to each individual as everyone learns differently. I like to get to know the student and discover their best ways of learning first. I do not believe you can just simply talk at someone and expect them to understand. Using things such as visual aids, mnemonics and analogies to not only help people remember but to understand is really important to me.
I'm a 20 year old biomedical science student at the Cardiff university and can offer lessons to help and support those younger than myself with academic subjects.
I have recently completed my Masters in Medicinal Chemistry and I hold a PGCEi that has allowed me to teach in schools. I have teaching experience in high school and I am offering Biology and Chemistry lessons to GCSE and A-Level students.
My first lesson with a student involves identifying any problem areas, then setting them up with all the resources and guidance needed for them to go away and develop their understanding, recall and application. I am then on hand to help whenever necessary.
I tailor my classes to each individuals need. I try to balance between practical exercises and more formal structured lecture-style lessons.
I am currently studying biomedical science at Cardiff Uni. Learning about the human body and the way it works really interests me because you get to know what's going on inside yourself! As well as studying for university, in my spare time I love to play classical guitar, having achieved grade 8 last year, it is something I enjoy doing to relax.
I have recently completed my BSc Biology degree at Aberystwyth University, where I consistently achieved 2:1 grades across my modules.
