About Jacob
I am a Student Musicologist, Multi-Instrumentalist, and Award-Winning Composer living and studying in Newcastle upon Tyne. I teach violin, guitar, bass, and I am currently also accepting students in music theory and listening skills. I have a BMus degree with First Class Honours (1:1) from Newcastle University and I'm currently looking for new music students!

Having learned from an Old-School style teacher myself, my lessons are based on a three-step structure: Detailed Explanation by teacher, Given Example by teacher, and Informed Attempt by student. Lessons are obviously tailored to the current standard of student's playing, and I make an effort to choose appropriate and interesting repertoire to follow a progression plan individual to each student.
