About Molly
I am a 22 year old History of Art and English Literature Graduate from the University of Edinburgh. My specialities are in literary modernism (namely James Joyce's Ulysses) and the art of the early 20th century avant-garde.
I have a broad knowledge of canonised art, literature and philosophy, and relish the opportunity to share my passions with young people.
I know how daunting and alienating school and university examinations can be and I am here to help and humanise them a bit.
My other interests include travel, food, hiking, conservation and environment politics and folk music.

Happy to be fluid about the length, duration and style of lessons. My approach is conversation based as much as possible, to get you to talk and to try to explain yourself, this I find is most helpful to boost student confidence and elucidate problems and issues. I am happy to go through specific examples of texts and pass papers if desired. The lesson will be tailored to your needs and learning style, generally lessons will last an hour though prepared to exceed this if necessary.
I teach secondary and university pupils how to improve on their skills, believe in themselves, encourage creative and critical thinking and help with academic exams and redactions.
Able to proof read and provide critical feedback of work of a variety of kinds.
An area of specialty is in literary and artistic modernism. ANY STUDENTS STRUGGLING WITH JAMES JOYCE'S ULYSSES, IT WOULD BE A PLEASURE TO HELP.
