About Vanessa
Hello, I’m Vanessa, and I’m a first-year psychology student at UCL. I studied in Hong Kong until year 10 and then moved to the UK to complete my sixth form education. I graduated from the Kings’ School Canterbury with A* grades in Psychology and Geography, and an A in Biology. I also achieved an 8.5 in IELTS and reached the interview stage with Cambridge (Corpus Christi College). Music has been a great part of my life. I have been in the symphony orchestra since year 2, and was an oboist for the chamber orchestra and the wind ensemble. I’d love to get to know you and share my passion. I hope we can work well together!

A typical lesson would be 60 minutes, and the lesson would be aimed at GCSE and A level students. I believe in tailoring my approach to my student's needs. I am happy with teaching exam techniques and would love to build transferable skills such as essay planning to students as we go through past exam questions and structure our approach. I aim to break concepts down so they're less intimidating, and relating the concepts to real life. I hope we work well together!
