About Joey
I worked in education for almost a decade before committing to a career shift as a social worker. My passion is to work with my community and give back in whichever way my skill sets will allow. I've always loved and appreciated the value of quality education and believe all have a right to education no matter an individual's background.

I approach educating through the understanding that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach and most people require an individual plan to address their education needs. I approach students with grace and understanding that we are on the same team with the same goals and objectives. Plus we can have fun along the way! My lesson approach is to first review previous lesson concepts, teach new concepts and then apply our learning to new situations. All lessons are data-driven with designed checkpoints throughout our work together.
