About Malique
I am a multidisciplinary creative and experienced educator originally from Brooklyn, New York, with roots that stretch across Paris, Mexico City, and Indianapolis, IN. My approach to tutoring is about patience, adaptability, and clear communication. I’m passionate about creating engaging, supportive learning environments where students feel encouraged to ask questions, build confidence, and develop both technical skills and creative thinking. Working with kids reminded me of the importance of curiosity, vulnerability, and play — things we often lose as adults. With over ten years of working as an educator, teaching has become a space for mutual growth where I can help others feel seen while staying connected to the world I want to help shape.

I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual’s pace, goals, and learning style. My lessons are for students of all levels — whether you're a beginner building fundamentals or an advanced learner refining your skills.
A typical lesson plan with me may look like this:
— A quick recap, followed by an introduction to new material with real-world examples and guided practice.
— Then independent exercises
— Finally, I like to end each session with feedback and clear next steps.
With a background in teaching a wide range of ages, I pride myself on making each learning experience approachable and meaningful. I like for my students to feel empowered after our classes, now able to fully grasp and apply what we have learned in real-world scenarios.
