A former math teacher and a civil engineering graduate who loves Mathematics!

I recently achieved my Civil Engineering degree at Lakehead University in April 2024. Prior to this milestone, I earned double college diplomas in Civil Engineering Technician and Civil Engineering Technology, as well as a degree in Education specializing in Mathematics (WES Accredited). During my 4th year at Lakehead University (2023-2024 AY), I assumed the role of Event Coordinator/Director for the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, organizing various events for civil engineering students, securing venues for technical gatherings, and contributing to the graduation dinner committee. Notably, my capstone project involved active participation as a competition builder for the Lakehead University Steel Bridge Team 2024 at the Western Great Lakes Steel Bridge Competition in Chicago last April 4-6, 2024. In this capacity, I contributed to designing the bridge using S-frame iterations and constructing the 21-foot structure that secured 4th place in the competition. Prior experiences as a Traffic Control Person for road construction, Survey Field Assistant, and Quality Control Technician have provided invaluable hands-on insights into the civil engineering and construction fields. Additionally, my roles as a Peer Tutor, coupled with a background in customer service and military service, have honed my strong work ethic and collaborative abilities. With a diverse skill set and a passion for education and engineering, I am eager to make significant contributions in my field.
