About Owothando
As a Bachelor of Human Movement Science student at Nelson Mandela University, I bring a unique blend of analytical rigor and creative communication to mathematics tutoring. My academic background in the sciences has sharpened my logical reasoning, while my passion for chess allows me to teach students how to approach complex problems with a strategic, step-by-step mindset.
I believe that math is most effectively learned in an environment that is both disciplined and encouraging. My experience as a creative writer and artist ensures that I can translate abstract formulas into clear, relatable concepts. Furthermore, my participation in team sports like soccer has taught me the value of patience and goal-oriented coaching.
I am naturally outgoing and cheerful, which helps me build strong rapport with students of all ages. My goal is to transform math from a source of anxiety into a manageable challenge, helping my students build the confidence they need to succeed. I offer a dedicated, professional, and multifaceted approach to learning that goes beyond simple memorization.
