About Caitlin
I have over a year of experience teaching both 4th and 6th grade English at NYC public schools. I’ve also worked as a principal’s assistant and a publicist for a publishing company, so I’ve been tried and tested in both the education and English literature worlds. I also have my B.A. in English Literature and graduated with a 3.7 GPA, which I hope illustrates that my skills translate to higher education as well.

I’m a former 6th grade English teacher with the NYC Department of Education. Before that, I worked in a NYC publishing house, and I went to school for English literature, so my passion for and skills in the subject are well-tested.
I have a lot of experience but my teaching style is very friendly and casual. I’ve worked with more neurodivergent students than not, and I’m extremely comfortable adapting to different learning styles, personalities, and comfort levels. I’m passionate about English, but I understand that not everyone is, and I like to make the classroom as fun, interesting, and engaging as possible.
