About Lola

I sang for 10 years in a professional (6+ hours/week of singing) French Choir that performed at the Opera Bastille, Grand Palais, Theatre du Chatelet in Paris and more. I am skilled in musical theatre singing, and classical singing in both French and English. During this time, I taught the youngest of the choirs singing methods, as well as interpretations and singing behaviour, while also receiving one-on-one lessons by a professional opera singer from whom I learnt my technique.

I base my classes on a special song that the student would want to work on. While learning how to sing this special song, I use various voice exercises that will serve as a vocal warm-up. These will also help the student understand how their voice works and provide them with the automatisms that will help them to place their voices naturally on other songs. Later, I work on the posture of the body and facial expression that participate in the singing technique. I am not skilled to work on men's voice as I am used to working with girls/women voices, possibly with boys while their voice is still unchanged. I work acapella as I find it can be distracting to learn with other factors, except if the student wants to provide their own music.
